Guidelines for caring for your painting.

1. Never lean the front or back surface of a stretched canvas on a pointed or sharp object, no matter how small. This will leave a dent that will disfigure your painting. If you must lean it against something, lean it on the wood of its stretcher bars so that nothing presses against the canvas.

2. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight will fade the colours in your painting. Please be aware of this when choosing a location for your painting.

3. You might want to dust your oil/acrylic painting regularly, so that a thick layer of dust does not build up which will dry out the paint and may result in cracking and peeling. Do not use spray polish on the work. Dust with a soft, dry cloth.

4. Pastel paintings are naturally prone to 'shed' chalky deposits - these may show on the mount.  Take care when handling and choose a spot to hang where the painting won't get knocked.  If you have painting reframed, ensure great care is taken with the surface as fingers will easily mark it.

5. Never expose your painting to extreme heat, extreme cold, or to extreme humidity.

6. If an accident causes damage to the work take it to a professional restorer who can fix it properly. Don't try to do it yourself.

If you have any questions about your painting please contact us.

Terms and conditions:

Paintings are sold in good condition and cannot be returned for 'damage' unless caused by the carrier in transit.  If this happens you must inform us immediately upon unpacking.

Any damage of the supports or frame must be reported immediately on unpacking.  Frames cannot be changed if you do not like them.  Please try and view in person or ask us to send you a photo of the picture in its frame.  We cannot reframe pictures to suit individuals, so if the frame is not to your taste, you can have it reframed yourself.

Paintings cannot be returned or exchanged if you later decide you don't like it - please be very sure of your choice before purchase.

Paintings will only be dispatched on receipt of full payment - we accept cash, cheques and PayPal.

We strongly recommend you try and view in person or ask for more photos before your purchase - we don't mind how many photos you need sent if it helps you to make a choice, so don't be afraid to ask - just use our contact form.
