Jackie: I started painting a few years ago having rekindled a love of art from years ago, when I mostly used pencils. I am inspired by all around me and try to see the beauty in the little things that are so easily missed. Munning's depiction of horses, foliage and light was the first artist to 'wow' me as well as local artists Bryan Ryder and Martin Kinnear.
Daphne: With limited painting materials during the war my painting gradually faded into the background. Later, the Purbeck hills, cliffs and beaches became my original inspiration, but it was when I came to Norfolk that the painting bug really got me. The coast and countryside and ever changing skies are a constant source of ideas.
